Rising and Falling show companies whose coverage over the last 7 days is climbing or dropping fastest compared with their own 28-day average. Recent days count for more than older ones, so a single busy day fades over the week rather than holding a company in place. A positive figure means coverage is rising; a negative figure means it's falling.

A company needs an established 28-day baseline to appear here — with no prior coverage there is no trend to measure. Passing mentions of a company in another company's story count for less than coverage of the company itself, and the figure is held back when it rests on only a few articles.

Coverage reflects attention, not sentiment: a spike can be good or bad news.
